For me personally it's probably a one and done type of activity but it was a great time. The nostalgia is all too real, and you love looking back on the good old days. I think by the time we were done it cost about $50-$60 but it was a lot of laughs and the staff was not pushy about buying all the extras, etc. We choose one (bought two copies) and also bought a nice frame to go with it. At the end you can go through and pick which photos you like best. They let you bring all your personal belongings with you so no worries about having to leave anything unattended. I had a corset top so the staff helped get me strapped into it and gave me a hat/shoes to wear just as I got out there to pose so I didn't break my neck walking. You pull on stockings, just to your thigh/just above the knee, leave on your shorts and just pull any straps, etc off the shoulder and out of the photo. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you are not changing all that much. We chose the ganster/Al Capone-ish theme and it was so fun. You get to look through examples of what outfits/scene you would like to re-enact. It is a bit touristy and hokey, but a lot of fun. So while strolling the boardwalk, we decided to stop in. Living at the shore already it was something I have had years and many opportunities to do, but simply had not. While on vacation for my birthday I convinced my boyfriend to try Old Time Photos with me. its a little on the pricey side but worth it to see your kids eyes light up. if you havent tried old town photo def give it a try. it is a staple of our vacation every year and on our last day we let her get dolled up and photoed. the pics were beautiful and if i could have afforded them i would have gotten one of each. she was posed and photos were taken and he even let her do her own poses at the end. ![]() she told him and he explained he was her photographer and he was going to take her pictures. once she was dressed up in her southern belle outfit(the one she picked) the photographer asked my daughter her name. my daughter has special needs but wasnt treated any different. she had a biggest smile on her face being treated like a model. she picked the southern belle and they immediately treated her like royalty. she has gotten her old town photo done a few years ago beforehand but this year she wanted another one taken. My daughter who is 8 loves getting dolled up and having her pic taken. The whole process took about an hour from start to finish during a non busy time. If you don't wish to buy either, they put the pictures in a bag with protective cardboard. They additionally try to sell you picture frames (approx $10 each) and if you aren't interested they offer cardboard frame matting (approx $5). For our 5 person group it was $129.95 (I think it was $85 for smaller groups and $180 for even larger groups). You can buy the full digital photoshoot CD and the copyright release for unlimited full color reproductions, 4 sepia prints and the fee is calculated based on group size. Each additional printed picture purchased costs $14.95 (you can find a coupon for $3.00 off on their website or in local coupon books/guides). That fee covers the outfit, photography and 1 printed picture (1 8x10 or 2 5x7) in sepia color. It was $29.95 for the first person, $5.00 for each additional person. ![]() We had a great time having the old fashioned family pictures taken. Love that they have this available on the boardwalk. ![]()
